Three Post Types And Why They Exist

Most blogs have one shape: the long-form post, written and published in a single sitting. That shape is also the reason most blogs go quiet — the bar for “worth publishing” creeps up until nothing clears it.

This one has three:

• Articles — the long-form pieces, like this one.
• Notes — short and untitled, the low-friction release valve for anything that doesn’t need a headline. A single paragraph is a complete note.
• Links — someone else’s URL plus a line or two of commentary. The headline links out to the source; this post’s own permalink sits beside it.

Splitting the format this way means the friction of “is this worth a full article” never blocks the smaller, cheaper thing from getting written down at all.
